Hi There.
My name is David Siddle and I originate from Bishop Auckland. I working on my family tree and the Siddle side is almost complete. I have also done significant work on Plummer side who were in the main in Willington. I I remeber right the Plummers linked to Barras/Partridge/possibly (Dorothy) Harker and maybe links to Anderson. When visitin Bowburn re these family ties, these are the surnames I recall.
The one line that I am struggling to gain any detail is Barras. James Walter Plummer from Willington married Annie Isabel Barras and her birth certificate suggests born 1902 registered in Gateshead.
I know that an old lady would stay at my grandma for six months or so and then she would stay with someone else for a while.
The names Joan/Christine/Dorothy/Jennifer. I have a photo of a small girl and on back is written "to Auntie Annie & Uncle Walter and Julie from baby Jennifer. (Julie may well be my mum.
Apologies for going on but the Barras line has been left for a while and would love any information if possible.
Dave Siddle binchester@msn.com Thank You

Hi re Barras
The Barras line that I mentioned previously originated from Gateshead and there is a link to a family called Jackson. William Jackson 1847 Darlington married Dorothy Jannance and their daughter Agnes Eleanor married John Barras. Dorothy Barras, my grans sister married Issac W Harker. Think he was Bowburn area. I know that Agnes Eleanor was possibly confined to her bed at quite a youmg age (20/30's). Agnes Eleanor would stay 6 months at my Auntie Doras and 6 month at my grans in Willington. Dave Siddle
